alternative ways to hiren's cd to access an ahci hard drive externally. hi i tried earlier to access my laptop's hdd using hiren's boot cd but it would not recognize the hdd existence, further googling showed that i need to switch sata mode to ide than rather ahci in bios, despite that forums report this method to be effective it did not. Recently my computer faced a Disk Boot Failure, So I used Hirens Boot CD (Mini XP) in order to backup my data. But Hirens Boot CD 14 Does not detect my GB SATA Hitachi Hard Disk. But in my Boot Menu It displays the Hard Disk, under Hard Disks Section. I use Windows 7. I need some help over this matter quickly. Please help. Hiren can not load the CD ROM Driver. It said that no mass storage device is found. By integrating the SATA drivers using nlite software into the installation CD I was able to install XP. I was wondering if I can use nlite to do the same with the Hiren CD. It seems that nlite integrates drivers for a WINDOWS installaion only. Thanks in advance.
